Sammi Acconcio, MT-BC

MUSIC THERAPIST & SALES MANAGER

Sammi was born in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts and grew up in Kingsland, Georgia. Sammi’s love for music was obvious to her family and friends at an early age. She began her musical journey in the sixth grade by learning to play the trumpet. She further honed these skills by performing in her high school marching band. She was also heavily involved in musical theater and chorus throughout high school.

As a high school senior, Sammi learned about Music Therapy and felt that’s what her life calling was to be. The following year, she enrolled in the Music Therapy program at Georgia College & State University. While attending college, Sammi received extensive classical voice instruction. She was an active participant in the prestigious Max Noah Singers as well as the Georgia College University Chorus. In 2018, The Max Noah Singers were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City to a capacity crowd. Sammi is also a member of the music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota. She served as chapter president during her senior year of college.

In the summer between her junior and senior year of college, Sammi participated in a study abroad program. She travelled to Heidelberg, Germany, where she learned how different cultures approach music therapy and the outcomes. After finishing her academic coursework, Sammi served as an intern at Dynamic Music Services, Inc. from June – December 2019. She graduated from Georgia College & State University in December of 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Music Therapy.

Sammi joined the Dynamic Music Services, Inc. team as a board-certified Music Therapist in March of 2020. Sammi’s primary passion is continued development of her vocal talents as well as helping others to realize their own potential. She strives to always make a positive difference in the lives of her clients and everyone she meets. Sammi is overjoyed to be on the Dynamic team and to begin her journey as a credentialed Music Therapist.
